Born in Taiwan into a family of cooks, I became a foodie no doubt. I love to help friends create memories, celebrate milestones, or take a trip down memory lane by incorporating nostalgic flavors, innovative ideas, or someone's favorite. Baking brings me home to my heritage and family even when I'm thousands of miles away from homeland, Taiwan. I'm a recent graduate of the University of California, Irvine with a political science major and global sustainability minor (and will be studying environmental law at Berkeley Law School). I have no culinary education, baking is just my passion. I don't know where this is going to evolve, but I just wanted to start blogging the memories I've already baked, so join me at the dessert table as I whisk through food, nature, people, and life!
Handmade Productions started off as just a name my sisters and I would call ourselves as we baked dozens of Christmas cookies for friends. Confession, I don't have sweet tooth. I just love to bless others through baked goods. Handmade Productions would not be possible without all my family and friends who help me devour what I baked and encouraged me to go for it.
During the COVID-era of 2020, I made my first boba lava cake for my boba-loving sister, which became a hit on the Facebook group Subtle Asian Cooking. My humble kitchen became my happy place. Ever since, I've sold my baked goods through rolling orders, special inquiries and pop-ups! Most importantly, I'm grateful that this journey has reconnected me with old friends and brought me to new friends as well.
